Normally spread across the country in four different states, this wonderful family was recently all together in Avalon, New Jersey!

It was such an honor to be asked to photograph them during their vacation together; to see the little ones so carefree and happy to be together especially warmed my heart.

And the drive down to the shore was the perfect excuse for me to spend a few days with my own extended family and also see friends I don't normally get to see.  It was a total win win win. ;)

Have you ever been around a family that clearly loves spending time together?

This family is totally that.  Each one of them is so refreshing to be around, and watching them together just warms my heart.

They were here visiting from Chicago, and I'm so very glad we made these made these family pictures happen!!  They are total gems and pure sunshine wherever they go, and I'm so happy to call them my friends...

I love it when families are drawn back together from all over the world. When reunions of the most comforting kind are actual realities...

This family was experiencing exactly that.

One family member who lives in China had just stepped off a plane under 48 hours before these pictures were taken. Others were soon on their way back home in the south.  So, this was a once-in-a-lifetime family session.

Everyone pulled together and make this such a blazing success.  It makes me so happy to see them all together, even for just this bit of time.  And now they will have these memories to cherish forever...
