A perfect day for rain.

We had the first thunderstorm of Spring today, and dinner nearly burned because of my neglect, haha. Oh was too gorgeous to ignore. ;)

Phil Wickham Benefit Show...part 2 :)

I've been looking forward to this concert for months, and it was well worth the wait. Hearing great music and seeing hundreds of people hear about the orphans in China was awesome!

I think we were all wearing lots of different hats throughout the entire day to pull the event off. From prepping Phil's greenroom to putting flyers on people's seats to driving around an hour before the show to put up more signs...Once the majority of the pre-concert hustle and bustle calmed a bit, it was really fun to talk to people (and mostly each other as we waited). And I finally had hands free of flyers and cellphones to start doing what I love most...Shooting photos!! One press pass please. :)

Here's David, the founder of BMH and a really great friend, introducing Phil Wickham...

Phil leading us in worship. He did a fantastic job keeping the focus on the Lord!!

From backstage.

It took me a while to catch how cool the shadow on the curtain was... :)

David sharing his experiences with the orphans. He did a great job! It's hard to believe the night earlier we were all roasting soft pretzels on a bonfire, haha.

The Adopted Children's Choir did a wonderful job that night...I think they were my favorite part.

Here's Phil, David and the kids from the Choir...

This is more of a personal picture than work or anything...Just wanted to share some of my crazy friends! (Take note of Jason's pen...this proves him guilty to the next picture... ;)

Too funny! :D

Thanks everyone who came out to the event, and for everyone else who supported it!!

Have a wonderful night!

On a Personal Note...

Lately, my favorite words have been...
"When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles." ~Psalm 34:17
And more Phil Wickham Benefit Concert pictures to come soon (that's why I was in New Jersey, for those of you who were wondering. :)
Enjoy the rest of today, k.

I had a great time staying with this family for a few days in New Jersey...

The kids are so photogenic and were such troopers for this shoot...especially little E who had his mind fixed on finishing his popcorn instead of standing around smiling. ;)

I'll try to edit and post a few more later, but right now I'm gonna go enjoy this official Spring sunshine! :)

(Update: I added some more photos this afternoon! )

Show Hope, it brings Life...

"Now that I have seen, I am responsible. Faith without deeds is dead. Now that I have held you in my own arms, I can not let go...
And I am on a plane across a distant sea, but I carry you with me."
-Brooke Fraser
she was such a pint-sized child on such a giant wall. i awaited her smile...was there life left in such a bruised precious heart? scars on the inside, scars on the outside. come alive again little one, we're blowing on the flames of your heart hoping to ignite it again. you will never be forgotten again.
