As it turns out, we only live a state away from one another, so we have kept in touch as much as we can. She's just one of those friends you can keep connecting with even if it's been a while...
So anyways, enter the boy...
Ever since I got to know Jamie well, I've heard about this guy named Doug. His name would come up in her stories, and even as time went by he was somehow still in her life and on her mind.
Doug & Jamie had known each other for years, but a couple years ago they grew closer. And their friendship turned to love...finally, as Doug would probably add.
While I was in China last summer I got a text in the middle of the night from Jame saying, "Hey!! Doug and I are engaged!!" I kept thinking it was dream and checked my phone all throughout the night to make sure it was true.
Turns out it is, and what happy story to be true. Lots of celebration going on for these two love birds! ;)
And so the happily ever after begins... :)
