December 5th, 2010 in southeastern Pennsylvania was in a word, freezing. If polar bears were indigenous to our area, survival for them on that day would have looked grim.
Maybe I'm exaggerating just a little, but the day was the definition of cold. As I walked from my car to the entrance doors of Longwood Gardens, I saw children crying, begging their parents to rush them indoors. And yet I had planned to keep two little precious boys outside for at least a half an hour photo shoot. Awesome idea Kristen...
Ironies of ironies, that Sunday at Longwood was also extremely jam packed with people. I mean, people seemed to be coming out of the walls. These are moments as a photographer that you realize how much you need God's grace and help to adapt when such unforeseen factors come up.
But then in the crowd I saw Tommy and Angie with their little men and my heart just melted. I photographed Aiden last winter, and had yet to meet his new little brother, who I fell instantly in love with...
Let me just say, this family is magic. They such deep love for one another and their sense of humor had me laughing so much that day. I might just make them gold medals because I don't even know how they did it, but we had such a good time, despite the bitter cold. They boys were such troopers, and I enjoyed the whole family's company so much. It's so rewarding when "clients" become friends. And such is the case with these guys.
So without further ado, here are The Marshall's...
Aiden...
Jackson...
Brother time...
Aw, Jackson's face...
What great boys!
This has "future teenager" (or future musician) all over it, but there's just something about this shot I love...
One of my favorite families to photograph! :)
The trains, oh the trains... :)
Thanks for the smile bud...I know you're sometimes a serious guy. ;)
Jackson trying to keep warm!
Then playing inside by the tree...I pushed old ladies out of the way for this... ;)
A few more of the family...
And we went by the trains once again...Jackson watched...
And so did Aiden...
Lots of love in this family!!!
